Most people’s first reaction when they hear about fecal transfusion is “ick!”

That’s why this treatment needs an extreme makeover. Fecal transfusion needs to be better packaged and publicized, as it is a valuable treatment.

Fecal transfusion is where healthy bowel flora from a donor is transplanted into someone who has bowel-related symptoms, such as constipation, gas, bloating, heartburn, or bowel-related disease, such as irritable bowel syndrome.

Such therapy has been shown to cure people with clostridia diarrhea.
